Why do we have a singer?
There are many bands around that perform all types of different music. There are bands that have singer(s) and bands that do not. There are also bands that have both singing and instrumental and we fall into that category as we feel that performances in both styles compliment the range of music that we play.
Why do we have a keyboard?
The keyboard is a vital part of our musical makeup as it helps bring to life the various styles of music that we so love to play, especially the Caribbean style.
Why do we need electric power?
As a band, especially with singers, we need a PA system for the singing. We also need to amplify the steel pans to ensure that the music is controlled and heard by all. On occasions where an electric point is not accessible a generator will be required to provide electric power.
Why don’t we have a drum bass?
We don’t have a drum bass because we have enough instruments in the band to provide a unique sound which creates and includes a drum and bass effect. Alongside the keyboard we have bongos and a set of guitar steel pans. All these instruments together provide the band with that distinct sound.
